Assessing Reservoir and Containment Risks for Potential CCS Sites in Campos Basin, Offshore Brazil

Short Abstract

Biography

She has 17 years of experience with PETRONAS, currently serving as a Staff Researcher in Geoscience. She began her career as a biostratigrapher at PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd (PRSB) before specializing in sedimentology. In 2012, she transitioned to the Exploration and Production Technology Division, where she spent five years as a reservoir geologist, contributing to Field Development Plans and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects in the West Baram Delta Operation. Her high-impact fault seal analysis study significantly improved reservoir modeling in the Baram field. She later continued her work as a stratigrapher for EOR projects under GR&T, playing a key role in advancing sequence stratigraphy in the WBD region. As GT&C continues its mission to advance EOR, Geo-Imaging, and CCUS technologies, she has been entrusted with leading several SITOS and Pre-SDP projects, driving the maturation of technologies toward commercialization. Since 2023, she has further honed her leadership and technical expertise in CCUS by leading the Brazil Pre-SDP study and actively exploring CO2 storage potential in saline aquifers and depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs in the Malay Basin and other international basins

Carbon Capture in Rift Basins – Escape Features Identification Using Seismic Techniques

Short Abstract

Biography

Master's degree in Geodynamics/Geophysics, specializing in the characterization of fractured reservoirs. Twenty years of experience in oil and gas exploration, and in the last three years in energy transition and sustainability projects, such as geothermal and carbon capture. Career developed in exploration, recently changing to sustainability projects, including geothermal potential evaluation, defining target zones, and proposing well locations; and carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects, evaluating existing potential for CO2 storage and determining well placements for CO2 storage.
