Dr Sadegh Asadi
Baker Hughes

Geomechanical Risk Assessment of Injectivity Test for a Carbon Storage Aquifer Reservoir

Short Abstract

Biography

Sadegh holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Curtin University of Australia (2011) and both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Iranian universities (2002 and 2006). With 17 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, he is currently a Geomechanics Advisor at Baker Hughes Australia. Sadegh excels in subsurface solutions and has managed numerous reservoir consulting projects worldwide. His expertise includes reservoir geomechanics for exploration, development, mature, and CCS appraisal fields. Since 2011 in Baker Hughes, Sadegh was involved in 1D and 3D Geomechanical modeling, Pore pressure and Wellbore stability analysis, Sand production prediction and Sand rate quantification, Fracture permeability and Fault reactivation analysis, Hydraulic fracturing and Water injection studies, and Integrated projects. During his time at Curtin University, Sadegh was a Rock Mechanics researcher, focusing on fractured rocks deformation. He has published several papers in international journals and conference proceedings and is an active member of the SPE, serving on technical committees for SPE conferences and workshops.
