Hydrogen is widely seen as a key component of a successful energy transition—but what needs to happen for it to become a major player at scale?
Join this highly interactive, participant-driven session to explore the opportunities, barriers and research needs shaping the future hydrogen ecosystem. Rather than a conventional seated presentation, this session invites you to move, discuss and contribute ideas at themed whiteboard stations.
Together, we will address three central questions:
Hydrogen ecosystem: What infrastructure is needed for supply, transport and storage? Where will hydrogen come from, who will use it, and what are the requirements of different consumers?
Geoscience re-invented: Which long-term geoscience challenges must be addressed to enable a hydrogen economy? Discuss topics ranging from geology, chemistry and physics to education, training and the role of students and young professionals.
What is missing? What will it take for hydrogen to become a major force in the energy transition—and which questions should shape the next GET Conference?
Participants are encouraged to move freely between the whiteboards, with new discussion impulses approximately every ten minutes. The session will conclude with a short presentation of the key ideas, priorities and open questions developed collectively.
Bring your expertise, curiosity and bold ideas—and help unlock hydrogen’s potential.
