This session will bring together geothermal project developers from across Germany to showcase both innovative projects and the expansion of proven geothermal resources, helping to unlock the country’s full geothermal potential. It would explore different approaches to developing and managing geothermal reservoirs for heat and power generation, including open- and closed-loop systems, as well as the co-production of critical raw materials where applicable. The discussion will also address operational challenges and the role of government support and funding mechanisms in enabling successful project delivery.
