Details
There is a global race by all advanced economies to be properly positioned in ensuring supply chain security of the essential minerals needed to drive the global energy transition quest. This has become more complicated by the shifting global alliances and emerging geo-political realities. Traditional supply routes have become unreliable, and this has implications for the attainment of the needed carbon neutral energy future desirable for sustainable growth globally.
Attention is being focussed on nations that were never considered mining destinations for the supply of this needed mineral commodities. Nigeria as one of such nations, has received an increased attention from global players as facts have emerged of the enormous green mineral potential hosted in the pegmatites scattered all over the country. This is especially so for lithium used in the manufacturing of EVs and Solar batteries. This presentation will focus on the efforts from Nigeria aimed at positioning itself as a powerhouse in the sourcing of this
white gold.
