Biography
Friedemann Baur is a senior petroleum systems analyst at Chevron, bringing 17 years of industry experience.
In his current role, he supports hydrocarbon exploration and appraisal alongside new energies and research.
Earlier in his career, he provided basin modeling consultancy at IES / SLB and worked at BP as a geologist in appraisal, well planning and exploration.
He earned his BA and MS degrees from the University of Cologne and completed a PhD in basin modeling and geochemistry at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

Boasting 18+ years of experience with SLB (Schlumberger) in diverse global locations. Renowned for his expertise in Basin Modeling and Hydrogen Storage, Nour leads CCS projects, focusing on risk evaluation and leveraging AI and ML technologies to drive industrial decarbonization efforts.
