Details

This session will provide an in-depth exploration of the methods of calibrating machine learning models and their predictions from the perspectives of both creators and the end users such as geoscientists and engineers. Attendees will gain insights into the processes, validation techniques, and challenges faced by both groups. Considerations: - Understand the processes and techniques used by creators to train, validate, and tune machine learning models. - Present examples on how machine learning predictions are then validated by geoscientists and engineers on application to geoscience and engineering problems - Identify common challenges faced and explore learnings by both creators and users and discuss potential solutions. Session format: - 3 x 20 minute presentations - 20 minute panel discussion
