3D Trans-Dimensional Gravity Inversion with Dimensionality Reduction-Based Visualisation

1:00 PM - 1:24 PM

Biography

Jérémie is a geophysicist with a particular focus on the integration of geo-disciplines. After completing an MSc. Eng. in geophysics from the School and Observatory of Earth Sciences (University of Strasbourg, France), he spent several years at Schlumberger in Milan, Italy, where he gained expertise in joint inversion and worked on developing and applying methodologies for integrated reservoir modelling. In 2018 Jérémie completed his PhD at the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) at the University of Western Australia. His research focused on integrating geological modelling and petrophysical data into geophysical inversion. Following this, Jérémie was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship, joining the RING Team (Research for Integrative Numerical Geology, National School of Geology) and collaborating with the Loop and MinEx CRC academic-industry consortia to further advance his work. Since January 2025, Jérémie has returned to CET as the recipient of an Industry Fellowship from ARC in partnership with GSWA and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in collaboration with the RING Team. His current project focuses on developing techniques for the exploration of the space of geophysically acceptable models under geological and petrophysical constraints.

Seismic Reflection in Mining: Advancing Subsurface Characterization in Complex Environments

1:25 PM - 1:44 PM

Biography

Geophysical Engineer with a master’s degree in Earth Sciences from Simon Bolivar University of Venezuela. He has 14 years of experience in the field of Geophysics. He is a specialist in the design, processing and interpretation of multichannel seismic data applied to reservoir characterization, shallow geological risk assessment and subsurface characterization to support the oil and mining industry. Since 2019 he has been responsible for the development of reflection seismic activities at AguaEx Geosciences. He is currently Senior Project Manager focused on providing solutions within the mining industry from planning and management of medium and large services to delivery of results.
