Biography

I am an Electrical Engineer with a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. Since year 2009, I've been a part of the Exploration and Production (E&P) department of ANCAP, the National Oil and Gas Company of Uruguay. Currently, I serve as an Energy Transition professional specialized in the E&P sector. In this position I've participated actively as a geophysical adviser and been in charge of the exploratory data management. Furthermore, I have had the privilege of serving as a Geology and Geophysics technical advisor in the Executive Branch Advisory Commission for the Establishment of the Outer Limit of the Continental Shelf of Uruguay. In this role, I have actively participated in submitting technical reports to the United Nations scientists Subcommission, advocating for Uruguay's claim on the outer limit of its continental shelf. My research interests lie in geophysical exploratory methods such as gravity, magnetics, seismic and magnetotellurics. I am particularly interested in their applications in identifying and evaluating potential energy resources.
