Biography
Abigail Maxwell has been a Geophysicist with bp since 2016. She has been afforded opportunities to work in different roles focused on interpretation, seismic analysis and integration gaining experience within the Trinidad region and in other regions in a central team. She is passionate about integration across multiple disciplines and enjoys working to creatively help solve many of the geophysical problems that we face across different basins.
Abigail has a BSc in Geology with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Georgia, Georgia, USA and a Master’s in Geophysics from Louisiana State University where her thesis focused on characterising seismic events generated during hydraulic fracture monitoring.
She is passionate about youth work and thus leads the Minds of Trinidad and Tobago, a local NGO, focused on making career mentorship accessible to all youth in T&T.
Although she has many interests, she loves spending time and making memories with her daughter Soleil.

Monica Hartmann is a Depth Imaging Specialist DUG Technology, where she provides expert support for complex marine depth imaging projects. With a focus on delivering high-quality subsurface insights, Monica plays a key role in advancing technical operations for the company’s Houston and Brazil offices.
Monica is dedicated to leveraging advanced geophysical techniques to support DUG’s commitment to excellence in the energy sector. By combining her specialized technical knowledge with a collaborative, cross-regional approach, she contributes significantly to the success of complex marine imaging initiatives. Outside of her professional life, Monica enjoys time spent with her three teenagers, walking her three dogs and running in the Houston heat.

Matthew Nicholson is a UK-based Geophysicist at bp with eight years of international experience across the UK, Egypt, Asia Pacific, and Trinidad & Tobago regions. He has held a range of roles in seismic acquisition and processing, exploration, and reservoir development, focusing on subsurface evaluation throughout the energy value-chain.

Transforming Horizontal Well Delivery Through Geosteering: Lessons from 20 years of Development in the NCMA, Trinidad
Biography
Megan Marshall is a geologist who has been with Shell Trinidad and Tobago Limited for the past 14 years. She holds a BSc in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of the West Indies. Since joining the graduate programme in 2012, she has worked a vast array of projects across the exploration and development funnel, ranging from prospect maturation, to well delivery, to recompletion in mature assets.
From 2018 to present, she has been the lead geologist on multiple greenfield natural gas development projects on both the north and east coasts offshore Trinidad and Tobago. Apart from integrated subsurface characterization and reservoir modelling, she has a keen interest in well planning and delivery, with a particular focus on the use of geosteering techniques and capabilities to optimize cost and execution performance.
Outside of her day-to-day work, Megan is a self-confessed animal lover and aspires to one day own an animal sanctuary. She is also passionate about the preservation of local arts and culture, and as such has been an active member and performer with parang music band Voces de Promesa since 2008.

Biography
With a strong foundation in petroleum geoscience and a passion for advancing the energy sector, Celine Gooljar is a Geologist at Heritage Petroleum Company Limited, specializing in onshore geology. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Geoscience from The University of the West Indies and has four years of industry experience supporting both exploration and field development initiatives across the onshore Southern Basin of Trinidad.
Her professional expertise centers on the interpretation and integration of subsurface datasets to support informed decision-making in mature oil and gas assets as well as frontier exploration opportunities. Through the analysis of geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data, she contributes to the identification of hydrocarbon prospects, reservoir characterization, and the optimization of development strategies. Her work involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically sound evaluations that enhance asset value and support safe, efficient operations.
Throughout my career, she has developed a strong understanding of the geological framework of Trinidad’s onshore basins, applying integrated earth science approaches to solve complex subsurface challenges. She has experience in data integration, geological interpretation, and prospect evaluation, enabling her to contribute effectively to various stages of the exploration and production lifecycle.
Driven by continuous learning and professional growth, she is committed to applying innovative geological solutions to support sustainable resource development. Her goal is to leverage technical expertise, collaboration, and analytical skills to contribute meaningfully to the success of energy projects while advancing the understanding of Trinidad and Tobago’s subsurface resources.
