I am currently a Geophysicist at Shell Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. I've been at Shell for all my career of 7yrs. Through this time I have supported key projects within the asset as part of the Developments team such as Colibri, Blackjack and Deepwater Exploration. Some of my strongest skillsets are in seismic interpretation and velocity modelling.

Biography
Victor Garcia - Senior geophysicist and trusted subsurface advisor with over 20 years of experience across the full upstream value chain. Born and raised in Venezuela, I earned a degree in Geophysical Engineering from Simón Bolívar University, where I built a strong technical foundation in seismic interpretation and quantitative geoscience.
Throughout my career, I have developed a reputation as a multidisciplinary geoscientist and data integrator, with expertise spanning frontier deepwater exploration, infrastructure-led exploration, and field development. My work focuses on integrating seismic, geological, and reservoir data to reduce subsurface uncertainty and support critical business decisions.
In recent years, I have played a key advisory role in offshore Guyana, contributing to some of the industry’s most significant deepwater developments. My work has been instrumental in advancing reservoir understanding, optimizing recovery strategies, and unlocking material resource value through innovative applications of 4D seismic and integrated reservoir workflows.
I am recognized for bridging geophysics and reservoir engineering, translating complex subsurface insights into actionable strategies that drive performance, improve reserves, and maximize asset value. I have a proven track record in resource maturation and value creation, particularly in exploration and infrastructure-led opportunities, where my integrated approach has consistently reduced uncertainty and unlocked material subsurface potential.
