Accelerating offshore near-field development: building confidence in structural and depositional models with AI-assisted, chronostratigraphic-driven interpretation
Biography
Jason Frederick is a veteran Geoscientist with more than two decades in the oil and gas industry. He is currently working offshore Soldado, with Heritage Petroleum. Jason has explored in the Columbus basin, the deep-water Gulf of Mexico and now Trinidad's Southern basin. He has worked on new developments such as the Serrette and Juniper Major Projects, assessed blocks for lease sale 207, matured leads into prospects like Jasmine/Frangipani and helped unitize fields like Kapok.
Jason has been nominated for Helios awards and has received multiple Inspire awards. At present he is following up on the success of multiple Soldado wells with production exceeding 700 bopd each, in a mature oil Field. While not as spritely as he used to be, Jason enjoys staying active with his most recent addiction being the contentious sport of Pickleball.

Biography
Raihaan Ali is a Geophysicist with bp in Trinidad & Tobago with 7 years of industry experience, whose work spans seismic interpretation, depth uncertainty characterization, structural geology, and integrated subsurface evaluations across appraisal and field development projects. He holds a BSc in Petroleum Geoscience and an MSc in Reservoir Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus. Raihaan has led and supported multidisciplinary teams on major offshore developments, applying innovative uncertainty characterization and risk assessment workflows to improve subsurface understanding, resource maturation, and investment decision-making. His interests include quantitative uncertainty analysis, seismic imaging, and leveraging digital technologies to enhance subsurface insights and business value.

Biography
John T. Gracely is an Operations Geology Technical Team Lead at ExxonMobil with 19 years of experience, specializing in the planning and execution of complex exploration and development wells. Throughout his career, he has provided geological leadership and technical expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs. His experience spans the full well lifecycle, from well planning through drilling operations and post-well evaluation. He has successfully supported drilling programs in a wide range of geological settings across Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and the Middle East, bringing a global perspective to subsurface characterization, well placement, and operational decision-making.

Biography
Annalieze N. is an MPhil student in her second year at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, conducting research in geomechanics and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Her research focuses on understanding the geomechanical behavior of reservoir and seals in the Southern and Columbus Basins under CO₂ storage conditions. Particular focus is emphasized on rock strength, failure behavior, and CO₂-brine-rock interactions. Her work aims to contribute to assessment of geological CO₂ storage potential and the development of safe injection frameworks for Trinidad and Tobago.

Biography
Jaka Hardiwinangun serves as Principal Analyst for S&P Global’s Latin American Upstream Intelligence team. With over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, he is recognized for his expertise in upstream activity analysis and reporting, particularly across Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the broader Caribbean region. Before joining S&P Global in 2011, Jaka developed his industry knowledge through roles at leading oil and gas companies in Houston, Texas, including BP, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, and EOG Resources. He holds a degree in geology from the University of Michigan and a certification in Geographic Information Systems from Northern Michigan University.
