3:05 PM - 4:05 PM

Speaker

Omid Karoussi
Equinor

Carbonate rock type identification using pore throat size distribution clusters

3:05 PM - 3:25 PM

Biography

Omid Karoussi joined Equinor (StatoilHydro by the time) in 2008 as senior researcher working on various research and technical service projects towards carbonate reservoirs. In 2018, he started at Special core analysis group as Principal Engineer-Reservoir Technology. He has been project leader for various special and routine core analysis projects including carbonate reservoir and in particular pre-salt carbonate. He received his Ph.D. degree in petroleum engineering from university of Stavanger in 2008 and his dissertation title is “Investigated Wettability Alteration of Chalk in Macro-, Micro- and Nano-scale with Temperature and Ions Effect on Oil Recovery” He used to work as reservoir engineer for National Iranian oil company for 3 years back in 2002 to 2005.
Andrea Chicuta
Equinor

Evaluation of Discrete Fracture Network Modelling in a Brazilian unique pre-salt reservoir

3:45 PM - 4:05 PM

Biography

Andrea Chicuta is principal reservoir engineer in Equinor. She holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Unicamp and has more than 10 years of experience in O&G industry, of which the last 7 years were focused on pre-salt reservoirs. Previously worked in Schlumberger and Petrogal.

Proposal for Formation Evaluation Based on Different Scenarios for Clay Volume Calculation in the Atapu Field

Biography

Undergrad in Geophysics from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), I work with the Exploratory Interpretation and Reservoir Characterization Group (GIECAR) working with cutting samples and gamma spectrometry, in my final graduation project. I am part of the Petrophysics Laboratory of the National Observatory (LabPetrON) as an intern, working with the evaluation of carbonate reservoirs in the Atapu field, Santos Basin. I had a schoolarship from Petrobras and today I have research related to the interpretation of gamma spectral data involving sequence stratigraphy and paleodepositional and paleoclimatic studies. In addition, an integrated rock-profile study and stratigraphic correlation of wells were carried out. At the same time I participate in the student chapter of SEG and EAGE, Geoscientific Student Society (GSS), working with scientific dissemination.
