Mr Fábio Júnior Damasceno Fernandes
GIECAR - UFF
An approach to seismic facies classification in pre-salt carbonate reservoirs
12:05 PM - 12:25 PMBiography
Fábio Júnior Damasceno Fernandes received a bachelor's degree (2022) in geophysics from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). He is a geophysicist at GIECAR-UFF working with seismic inversion and seismic facies modeling in R&D projects. His research interest includes seismic inversion, rock physics, Bayesian analysis, machine learning, and deep learning. He has experience on implementing these routines using Python programming language.

Towards Improved Reservoir Characterization in Pre-Salt Carbonates with Integrated Elastic Full Wavefield Inversion
12:25 PM - 12:45 PMBiography
Ramesh “Neelsh” Neelamani currently serves as Senior Principal Geophysics within ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company. He received the B.Tech. degree in 1997 from the Indian Institute of Technology-Mumbai, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1999 and 2003 from Rice University, all in electrical engineering. He joined ExxonMobil in 2003 and has enjoyed a variety of assignments in ExxonMobil’s research, exploration, and production companies.
Dr. Neelamani has authored more than 40 refereed publications and 10 patent applications in the areas of seismic signal enhancement, compressed sensing, pattern recognition, and seismic imaging. He was honored by the SEG with the J. Clarence Karcher award in 2011.
