Workshop on Geothermal Reservoir Development

13 November, ONLINE

Urgent Update: Event Cancellation

Upon consultation with our stakeholders, the organising associations (BVG, FKPE and EAGE) have made the decision to cancel the joint workshop originally planned for 13 November 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you are interested in other events related to the topic of Geothermal Reservoir Development please consider Der Digital Geothermie Kongress 2020 or the EAGE Geoscience & Engineering in Energy Transition Conference (GET2020) which are hosted by the BVG and EAGE respectively. Both programmes will be held fully online.

Welcome to EAGE/BVG/FKPE Joint Workshop on Geothermal Reservoir Development

The use of geothermal energy is directly related to the underground properties. For geothermal energy, the so-called 3T are particularly important: temperature, transport routes and transport medium.

The temperature in the subsurface can be determined by borehole measurements. In particular, fibre-optic measurements (DTS Distributed Temperature Sensing) allow the true rock temperature to be recorded within a short time, in addition dynamic processes such as inflows or fluid losses may be observed.
