Ir. Ts. Dzulkarnain Azaman 

Dzulkarnain began his career with PETRONAS in 2003, bringing with him about 20 years of experience in various roles ranging from engineering, projects, planning, operations, management, and commercial, both locally and internationally.

Currently, Dzulkarnain is appointed as the Senior General Manager of Upstream Technology, Digital & Innovation (UTDI), Development Division, Upstream; where he leads, strategizes, and drives Technology, Digital and innovative transformation to strengthen UTDI in safeguarding, shaping, and servicing Upstream business towards purposeful technology positioning whilst accelerating innovation, driving technology adoption and developing a tech-savvy workforce to maximize value for the business.

Dzulkarnain holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (Honours) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He also holds a professional engineering (Ir.) qualification from the Board of Engineers Malaysia, a Project Management Professional (p.m.p) under the Project Management Institute (PMI) US, and a Technologist (Ts.) practitioner from the Malaysian Board of Technologists. 


Prasanna Tellapaneni

Prasanna K Tellapaneni is the Asia Solutions Lead for SLB, Digital & Integration division, based in Kuala Lumpur and holds BTech and MSc in Petroleum Engineering. Prasanna has a wide range of experience in defining, delivering, and communicating solutions around field ready solutions in the production assurance space. Prior to his current role, Prasanna held various positions in the USA, the Middle East & Asia, focusing on Digital Oilfield & Integrated Operation implementation. To date, Prasanna has delivered more than 200 courses and presentations globally and is the author of multiple peer reviewed papers and holds multiple patents. 


Mohammad MalekMakan (MO)

A Senior Enterprise Architect for Digital Sustainability. He has nearly two decades of experience in technology and, more recently, ESG cross-sections, co-developing digital strategies that support the sustainability objectives and KPI of businesses. He has been developing digital strategies and roadmaps to support affiliated organizations' most pressing challenges, such as the transition to a low-carbon economy and the disclosure of material ESG issues and value creation opportunities associated with investments.


Arne Kristoffer Norborg

Arne Kristoffer Norborg, Director of Global Business Development at Cegal, brings nearly 30 years of experience in the energy sector. He has held key technical and management positions in startups such as Technoguide (Petrel founding company) and Blueback Reservoir, contributing to significant technological advancements in software. Currently, Arne focuses on digitalization, aiding energy companies in transitioning to cloud solutions through Cegal’s Cetegra platform. Lately he has also been engaged in bridging research and commercial software. He has also served on multiple boards in the oil and gas industry, providing strategic direction and fostering innovation. Arne’s extensive experience and expertise in digital transformation make him a valuable leader in the energy sector.


Romesh Mahajan

Romesh is a seasoned IT leader with 21 years of experience in managing complex transformational digital projects and product lines. In his current role since Sep’21 as Product Line Manager for Digital Twin in Shell, Romesh is accountable for product vision, roadmap, deployment strategy and business value realization for Digital Twin across Shell. In this role his key focus is on making Digital Twin a transformation product for Shell to drive business outcomes at pace. As an IT leader, Romesh enjoys finding solutions for complex business problems, challenging diverse roles and working with global virtual teams in fluid and abstract environments.


Dr. Debasis Priyadarshan Das

Dr. Debasis Das is a distinguished Geoscientist with a rich background spanning 20 years across the Oil & Gas Industry and academia. His expertise encompasses diverse global geological settings, cultivated through roles with renowned multinational corporations such as Shell, & PETRONAS and upstream regulator (DGH) in India. Currently serving as a Project Lead and SME of CO2 Storage Development Plan (SDP) Studies at PETRONAS, Dr. Debasis plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing the subsurface study plans for CO2 storage development projects, notably contributing to the development of CCS projects portfolio in Malaysia. He has spearheaded several CO2 SDP projects, leading multidisciplinary teams of sub-surface and surface engineers. Dr. Debasis earned his Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in earth Sciences and has made significant contributions to the field through the publication of over 30 conference and journal papers, particularly focusing on various aspects of CO2 storage and paleontology.


Prakash Kumar

Prakash Kumar Karunakaran is the Senior General Manager for Technology Digital Solutions at PETRONAS. He is responsible for formulating and steering the management and integration of innovative solutions to address business pain points. Before this role, he founded and led NervCentre, achieving significant top and bottom-line improvements by leveraging AI within the Oil and Gas sector. His leadership extended to scalable advanced analytics, innovations in the capital projects space, and the development of an award-winning Digital Twin program. NervCentre also pioneered digital carbon abatement solutions, AI-driven knowledge leverage, and the Remote Autonomous Operations initiative. With approximately 30 years of experience in plant operations and central engineering consultancy within the Oil & Gas industry, Prakash brings a wealth of expertise and strategic vision to his role.


Dr. Shivkumar Kalyanaraman

Shiv is CTO, Energy Industry, Asia at Microsoft. Previously he was Executive General Manager of Growth Offerings at GE Power Conversion responsible for new Line of Business development in e-Mobility, Commercial & Industrial Solar and digital/AI innovations. Earlier he was at IBM Research - India, and the Chief Scientist of IBM Research - Australia. Before IBM, he was a tenured Full Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, USA. Shiv has degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (B.Tech, CS), Ohio State University (MS, PhD) and RPI (Executive MBA). Shiv is a Distinguished Alumnus Awardee of IIT Madras (2021, recognizing 0.3% of IITM's alumni over the years) & Ohio State University (2021), Fellow of the IEEE (2010), Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering (2015), ACM Distinguished Scientist (2010), Microsoft Gold Club (2024), IBM Master Inventor (2017), and MIT Technology Review TR100 young innovator (1999). 


Lokesh Ambati 

Lokesh Ambati received his Bachelor’s degree in physics in 2003 and Master of Science in Exploration Geophysics in 2006 from Andhra University, India. He is currently working as Staff Reservoir Geophysicist with Petronas in Malaysia. He is a Geophysicist with 18 years of international experience in Oil & Gas industry. He is specialized in seismic interpretation, prospect generation and quantitative interpretation. He worked with international oil & gas companies like Reliance Industries Ltd, SLB, Wintershall Dea. In his career, he carried out successfully prospect generation and quantitative interpretation projects in exploration, appraisal and development. In his career, he has experience working across multiple regions and geological basins of major oil & gas producing fields, e.g. GoM, India, North Sea, Middle East and SE Asia. He has proven track record with several world class discoveries in GoM like Zama, and Polok. His current job is to provide the integrated geoscience solutions plan focuses on enhancing reservoir characterization through quantitative interpretation, AI/ML technologies and innovative geological interpretation across Malaysia Ventures, and international projects.
