Eighth EAGE Borehole Geophysics Workshop

ADVANCED SOLUTIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

29 September - 1 October 2025, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

For decades, borehole geophysics measurements have been instrumental in the oil and gas industry, aiding geoscientists in critical tasks such as precise well-to-seismic correlations, refining velocity models for seismic analysis, supporting drilling activities, and monitoring reservoir behaviour.

Amidst the global push towards sustainable, green energy solutions, there’s a growing imperative to quantify and reduce uncertainty in reservoir monitoring. This imperative extends beyond traditional oil and gas applications to encompass diverse sectors like geotechnical studies, geothermal exploration, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).

Highlights from the last edition

A preview into the Seventh Borehole Geophysics workshop that took place in September 2023 in Milan

After the sixth edition of Borehole Geophysics that was held online, we had a record turnout in Milan for the seventh edition that was held from 19 - 21 September 2023. The event was packed with oral presentations, engaging poster sessions, as well a riveting joint session with the co-located Seabed Seismic workshop.

Supported by ENI, Aramco, and BGP, the event attracted a large number of physical attendees who were eager to return to in-person gatherings

The enthusiasm for in-person meetings, combined with numerous networking opportunities, made it the ideal event for delegates to engage, participate, and leave enriched.
