17 November - 20 November 2025
Energy Transition
A comprehensive programme of short courses taught by leading field experts. Each course is designed to dive into a different technical aspect of the geothermal energy: choose one or boost your skills with an All Access Pass!
The courses will be held in-person in Paris, France.
Date: 17-18 November
This course on Geothermal Energy provides a comprehensive overview of the different types of geothermal energy utilization, including shallow ground-source heat pumps, direct use of geothermal heat (hydrothermal systems), high-temperature power generation, and heat storage technologies. The course covers both exploration techniques and engineering solutions required for their successful implementation.
Instructors: Andrea Moscariello
Date: 19 November
The main purpose of the course is to familiarize students with basic definitions, main challenges, and practical implementation of geothermal energy production. The class will include lectures and practicals.
Instructors: Denis Voskov (TU Delft, Netherlands)
Date: 20 November
The course will provide insight on how to use and integrate VSP information for seismic reservoir characterization in the context of energy transition such as geothermal and CCUS. Geophysical monitoring and imaging applications at field scale will also be discussed.
Instructors: Sebastien Soulas (Avalon Sciences Ltd)
