Second EAGE Workshop on Advances in Carbonate Reservoirs: from Prospects to Development

12-14 October 2026, Kuwait City, Kuwait

Important Announcement: Rescheduling of the 2nd EAGE Workshop on Advances in Carbonate Reservoirs

After careful consideration of prevailing regional circumstances and logistical challenges, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) has decided to defer the 2nd EAGE Workshop on Advances in Carbonate Reservoirs.

The workshop is now scheduled to take place from 12–14 October 2026 in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

This decision ensures we can provide the best possible experience for all attendees in a secure and conducive environment. The safety and well-being of our participants remain our utmost priority. We sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility as we transition the event to these new dates. We will communicate further information regarding registration transfers, abstract submissions, and logistics directly to all stakeholders via email and update our official website.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the EAGE community.

"Enhancing Recovery Factors in Carbonate Reservoirs: Novel Techniques and Technologies"

The O&G industry’s motto/goal is to explore and produce hydrocarbons in the most efficient and effective ways possible. As such, it’s crucial to focus on exploring and developing carbonate reservoirs, which are significant contributors to global hydrocarbon reserves, we would like to focus on exploring and developing them. However, their exploration and development can be very challenging due to their heterogeneous nature, diagenesis, cementation, and variability in porosity and permeability. Moreover, with oil resources becoming increasingly difficult to discover, it is essential to maximize the recovery from existing mature fields to ensure production sustainability and meet growing energy demand. Therefore, its essential to address challenges of carbonates reservoirs byexploring the latest technology applications and tools needed to manage these complex reservoirs with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
