Topics
The Technical Committee invites practitioners, innovators, and industry experts to contribute to this workshop and share their achievements and challenges, lay out big innovative ideas, and seek new alliances to jointly develop a road for the future. Contributors are welcome to submit an abstract of 2-4 pages in length.
Submissions for posters & oral presentations are welcome on all topics. Master's or PhD Students and academic professionals are invited to submit abstracts. Abstracts should be submitted via the EAGE website using the downloadable template. Please click here to download the CFA Template
The deadline for abstract submission will be announced soon.
Please submit abstracts on the following topics:
Theme 1: The next discovery cycle: finding and appraising the next material barrels:
- Remaining exploration potential in mature pre-salt basins and managing exploration risk in CO₂-rich reservoirs.
- Future licensing rounds and value creation in mature basins.Identifying material exploration potential in new fairways, step-outs, and underexplored areas.
- Lessons from recent discoveries such as Aram, Água Marinha, Bumerangue, and C-M-477 in the Santos and Campos basins.
- Predicting reservoir presence, quality, and connectivity before drilling
Theme 2: Mature giants: sustaining production and increasing recovery:
- Maximizing recovery from pre-salt fields and managing reservoirs during peak and plateau production phases.
- Dynamic connectivity analysis for improved history matching and reservoir pressure management.
- Modeling non-matrix contributions to reservoir performance and advancing operations in complex carbonate reservoirs.
- Reservoir management after years of production to understand connectivity, depletion, and remaining potential.
- Injection and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies in pre-salt carbonates- CO₂ in the pre-salt: from reservoir challenge to geological storage
Theme 3: Imaging:
- Next-generation seismic imaging below complex salt
- Advances in seismic acquisition technologies
- 4D seismic: new algorithms for monitoring in producing fields
Theme 4: Characterization and reservoir surveillance:
- Multiparameter seismic inversion, fracture characterization, and geomechanical implications.
- Uncertainty quantification in carbonate reservoir models.
- Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) developments and DAS applications for reservoir monitoring.
- Advancing pre-salt carbonate reservoir characterization through geological and geophysical integration.
- Rapid incorporation of time-lapse (4D) seismic data into dynamic models to accelerate reservoir management, consider uncertainties, and reduce the cycle time for seismic data utilization in decision-making.
- Borehole geophysics and multiscale integration connecting core, digital rock, logs, and seismic observations.
Theme 5: AI and digital workflows: from pilots to auditable decisions:
- Foundation models and generative AI for subsurface workflows with demonstrated technical value.
- Agentic and automated subsurface workflows with human-in-the-loop validation and traceability.
- Digital twins and closed-loop workflows integrating observations, models, and decisions.
- Large-scale data assimilation and decision-centric uncertainty quantification.
Important Update on Abstract Submissions:
We are currently upgrading our management systems and transitioning from EventsAir to Salesforce. To ensure a smooth process during this transition, the standard online submission portal is temporarily disabled.
Therefore, we kindly request that all interested authors submit their abstracts for the Fifth EAGE Conference on Pre-Salt Reservoir directly via email. Please send your documents to: lbl@eage.org.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
