EAGE/EFG collaboration

The EAGE/EFG Photo Contest is co-organised annually by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and the European Federation of Geologists (EFG). The 2023 theme is “Legends of Geoscience”.

The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) is a global professional, not-for-profit association for geoscientists and engineers with members active in over 110 countries and territories. It provides a global network of commercial and academic professionals to all members. The association is truly multi-disciplinary and international in form and pursuits. All members of EAGE are professionally involved in (or studying) geophysics, petroleum exploration, geology, reservoir engineering, mining and mineral exploration, civil engineering, tunneling and environmental matters. The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) is a not-for-profit professional organisation focused on the promotion of excellence in the application of geology and in raising public awareness on the importance of geosciences for the society. EFG is based in Brussels, was established in 1980 and includes today 27 national association members. EFG adheres to the principles of professional responsibility and public service and certifies the competence, integrity and ethical conduct of professional geologists.
