Liau Min Hoe

Liau Min Hoe has over 23 years of experience in oil and gas industry. He started his career as geophysicist in PETRONAS and gained experience in both exploration and development domains. Over the past years, he has led the key roles in both technical and management positions. He was later given the opportunity to head the Downstream portfolio in Group Internal Audit from 2016 until 2018. In 2018, he returned to the upstream sector as the Exploration Manager for Myanmar ventures in PETRONAS and subsequently being appointed as Head of Myanmar Operations to manage the exploration, development and production operations. He is now heading the Technical Assurance and Capability in Exploration sector, where he oversees the technical assurance and capability development for geoscientists in PETRONAS.

He graduated in Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and completed his Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College, London, UK.



Siti Normaizan Hassan

Maizan currently is the Head of Discovered Resource Arrangement in Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), PETRONAS. In this capacity, primarily she is responsible to oversee the execution of PSC as well as monetization of all Malaysia’s Discovered Resource Opportunities as well as managing the Late Life Assets (LLA). Prior to this, she was the Head of Unconventional Centre of Excellence located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Key roles pin this capacity is managing an outfit that provides technical advice, evaluation, and assurance provided to the PECL’s Unconventional projects within Canada, other PETRONAS Unconventional assets internationally as well as any opportunity generations, value creation and assurance related to Unconventional Businesses for PETRONAS. Maizan joined PETRONAS in 2016 through Experienced Hire program as Head (RS-FFR/FDP/EGR) before being re-appointed as Head (Sarawak Resource Development – Oil) in FDP Delivery post Excel in the same year. She serves Petroleum Engineering COE as Head Sarawak Oil Resource Management from March 2018 prior to appointment as Head PE Sarawak Oil in May 2019. 

Maizan started her career in Oil & Gas industry with multinational Oil & Gas Industry, ExxonMobil as well as Petroleum Engineering Consultant for Schlumberger Digital Consulting Services and Uzma Engineering prior to her joining PETRONAS.



Angus Rodger

Angus leads Wood Mackenzie’s Asia-Pacific upstream research content and analysis. He is also one of Wood Mackenzie’s global upstream ‘thought-leaders’ and author of leading benchmark analysis of global pre-FID and deepwater projects, upstream decarbonization and the application of CCS. Based in Singapore since 2006, he has 15+ years of upstream analysis, client engagement and business development across Asia-Pacific. He joined WM’s upstream research team in 2008.

He has also participated in a wide range of consulting projects for IOCs and NOCs across the region, including basin and opportunity screening, business development, M&A, and gas monetisation. He has represented Wood Mackenzie on TV, press, hosted podcasts and spoken at multiple conferences, forums & webinars. Prior to Wood Mackenzie, he worked in the upstream industry for five years, covering the North Sea, Africa and Asia. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Politics with International Relations from the University of Warwick.




Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Daud

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Daud is an academician and entrepreneur in Indonesia. He has more than 25 years of experience in geothermal exploration, resource assessment and development as well as research in development of geothermal technology and software. He is an author of many scientific published papers. He is also an owner of 7 patents in Geoscientific Software Development. Dr. Daud is Head of Graduate Program in Geothermal Exploration, Department of Physics, Universitas Indonesia. He is also Head of Geothermal Research Center (GRC) of The Institute for Sustainability Earth and Resources (I-SER), Universitas Indonesia. His foundation expertise in geothermal technology was built in Professional Geothermal Diploma Course in Geothermal Institute of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Then he completed PhD degree in Kyushu University, Japan. He is an expert member of Directorate Geothermal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) of the Republic of Indonesia. He is also a founder of PT NewQuest Geotechnology, a winner of Best Geothermal Exploration Services Company awarded by Indonesian Geologist Association Awards 2020.


Jayanti Anggraini

19 years experience in energy industry and due to my transition from Oil and gas to geothermalindustry, I am very interested in joining any energy transition activity & conference to support Net Zero Emission target in the world. Graduated from Geological Engineering, Gadjah Mada University and Master Reservoir Geophysics from University of Indonesia. Currently working as VP Geoscience in Pertamina Geothermal Energy since Sept 2022, with most of previous experience working as Exploration Manager in Oil and Gas Industry.
