Liau Min Hoe

Liau Min Hoe has over 23 years of experience in oil and gas industry. He started his career as geophysicist in PETRONAS and gained experience in both exploration and development domains. Over the past years, he has led the key roles in both technical and management positions. He was later given the opportunity to head the Downstream portfolio in Group Internal Audit from 2016 until 2018. In 2018, he returned to the upstream sector as the Exploration Manager for Myanmar ventures in PETRONAS and subsequently being appointed as Head of Myanmar Operations to manage the exploration, development and production operations. He is now heading the Technical Assurance and Capability in Exploration sector, where he oversees the technical assurance and capability development for geoscientists in PETRONAS.

He graduated in Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and completed his Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College, London, UK.


Zalina Jamaluddin

ZALINA JAMALUDDIN is the Vice President of Low Carbon Ventures in Hibiscus Petroleum. She also previously served as the Chief Operating Officer in SEA Hibiscus, a subsidiary of Hibiscus Petroleum.

Zalina spent more than 20 years in the private and public sector, mostly in the oil & gas industry, in various roles in the ExxonMobil Malaysia (E&P) in Surface, Planning and Subsurface, and later as Senior Commercial Advisor in Talisman Energy Inc. She also served as a Vice President and founding members of Malaysia Petroleum Resource Corporation (MPRC) under the Prime Minister’s Department, and served as one of the Advisory Council Members for TalentCorp’s Graduate Employability Program. She later served as the Chief Business Development Officer and Secretary to the Board of Governors at the Asia School of Business, a collaboration between Bank Negara Malaysia and MIT Sloan School of Management, USA.

She graduated with a BSc in Chemical Engineering (Cum Laude) from Cornell University, New York. She is also active in coaching and mentoring young professionals and women leaders.


Akmal Niza Ahmad

Akmal Niza Ahmad was appointed Head, Global HR Partners Upstream Business, PETRONAS on 1 April 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Tourism Management with a minor in Marketing (cum laude) from Western Michigan University, Michigan, United States of America. In 204, she attended the Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) with Duke Corporate Education.

In November 2022, she completed her Leading Sustainability: High Impact Leadership course with University of Cambridge (Institute for Sustainability Leadership). While in June 2022, she achieved 'Chartered Fellow' status from the Charted Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). She is also a certified PETRONAS coach, having completed her Ontological Coaching Certification from Newfield Institute in 2021. In addition, she also holds a certification in Industrial Relations from the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF).


Dr. Jaizan Hardi Mohamed Jais

Throughout his 38 years in PETRONAS, Dr. Jaizan has held various senior leadership and technical positions in petroleum management, global exploration, business development, new ventures, R&D, strategic planning, technology, capability and data management. He joined PETRONAS as a Geologist in 1984 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Missouri – Columbia, USA. 

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Geology Malaysia (F.I.G.M), a former Board Member of the Board of Geologist Malaysia and a registered Professional Geologist. His appointments include, Deputy Country Representative for Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in South East Asia and East Asia Countries (CCOP) and Adjunct Professor at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). 

He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Exploration from the University of Trondheim, Norway, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
