The objective of this course is to give a basic knowledge of the geology disciplines that willplay a major role in energy transition and will help reduce emissions and reduce the impacton climate change.The topics that will be addressed are the following: Introductory concepts on ClimateChange and Anthropogenic CO 2 emissions, the adaptation of the energy companies to thisnew situation. We will focus on four aspects or disciplines of Green Geology: Carbon captureand storage, natural hydrogen generation and storage, geothermal energy and strategicminerals with special emphasis in Lithium.Finally, we will summarize what are the core geology and geophysical skills that are need itfor these disciplines and how to be prepared to access the raising market for these greengeology jobs.
