BENJAMIN GATIGNOL 

Namibia Exploration & New Ventures Manager, Total Energies 

Benjamin is an experienced project manager and dynamic team leader adept at navigating multicultural settings. Possessing a robust understanding of business dynamics, he honed his skills studying Economics of O&G at the Colorado School of Mines in 2004. Proficient in overseeing the entire subsurface evaluation process, from New Ventures Exploration to Brownfield development. Well-versed in budgeting and portfolio management, Benjamin thrives in responding creatively and flexibly to evolving scenarios. Known for my enthusiasm and adaptability, he excels in handling tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. Seasoned in coordinating drilling and seismic operations, with a keen eye for preparation and follow-up.

Adeleye Falade

Country Chair, Shell Namibia

Leye Falade is a graduate of Electrical/Electronic Engineering from University of Ibadan and holds an MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. He’s worked for over 27 years with the Shell Group and is an accomplished business leader with broad and significant global exposure in the Integrated Gas & Upstream businesses with assignments that span various countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He is a chartered engineer, a member of SPE and Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers. He is currently the Country Chair of Shell in Namibia.

 Guido Paparoni 

Kudu Subsurface Manager, BW Energy 

Guido Paparoni has 25 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, appraisal, production, development, and acquisitions. He holds a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Columbia University NY, and a Geological Engineering degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Most of his career has focused on West Africa while working for BW Energy, Kosmos Energy, and Chevron. Projects include assets in Namibia, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, and Angola. He currently leads the BW Kudu subsurface efforts for the Kudu license.

 LISE SALLES 

Senior Exploration Geoscientist, Total Energies 

Lise is a geoscientist with over 15 years experience in exploratory analysis and integration, Lise held several technical & team lead positions within TotalEnergies. She worked on various countries, mainly inAfrica, from block capture to exploration studies, well preparation and follow up of drilling. Recently, she played a key role in the Ntokon discoveries in Nigeria.

PETER ELLIOTT

Director, NVentures

Since he started working offshore in the early 1990’s, Peter has gained an invaluable mix of technical skills and commercial competence. In IEDS (now S&P), Peter developed and maintained a world-class Middle East scout service, before engaging in the large seismic spec programs offshore West Africa with WesternGeco (now SLB). Peter and colleagues launched NVentures Ltd in 2013, producing high-quality timely scouting reports with detailed geological context. He also consults with oil company New Ventures departments in Africa and Europe in a business development role. Peter is an active member of a number of energy industry organisations and has served on organising committees with EAGE, GESGB and AAPG.
