Suhail is an energy professional with 25 years of extensive experience in oil & gas, strategy, decarbonization, sustainability, and new energies. Suhail has gained rich international and multicultural experience serving in Latin America, the North Sea, and Middle East markets with proven experience as a business consultant, and successful track record of identifying and executing innovative solutions that encompass the entire energy value chain. She holds an MBA, MSc in Petroleum Production Engineering, Specialization in Reservoir Engineering and a BSc in Chemical Engineering in addition to numerous licenses and certifications relating to her passion in the energy transition domain (EMP, LCA, H2, GRI, etc).Suhail is credited with many publications as part of SPE Board Committees in the UAE, acting as Chair of Gaia and Sustainability communities, leading a MENA Hydrogen Working Group, and actively participating in global and regional events as a paper author, technical committee member, speaker, moderator, and mentor. Suhail has different roles in important companies in the region and now joined recently Wood as the Director – Future Energy – Middle East in the Abu Dhabi office, with the role to drive and direct a world class team to help customers deliver their decarbonisation aspirations and goals here in region.
Managing Senior Vice President - Head of Sustainable Energy Division, Ryder Scott
Marylena Garcia, P.E., is a reservoir engineer with over 25 years of experience specializing in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), reserves evaluation, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR). As Managing Senior Vice President at Ryder Scott, she leads CCUS feasibility studies, CO2 storage resource classification, and regulatory compliance efforts.She has extensive expertise in CO2 injection modeling, plume migration analysis, and site selection, applying the SPE CO2 Storage Resources Management System (SRMS) for storage resource certification. Marylena has conducted technical due diligence for CCS projects in saline aquifers and depleted reservoirs, evaluating project design, costs, risks, and regulatory requirements. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, a member of SPE and SPEE, and has led ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 internal audits. Marylena is dedicated to advancing low-carbon energy solutions and driving innovation in CCUS and sustainability.
Vice President CCUS, ADNOC
Graduated from the “Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires” in 1994 with an Engineer degree, Hernan Silva began his career in Total Austral (TotalEnergies Argentinean subsidiary) in 1995 as a Reservoir Engineer. In 1998 he joined the ENSPM Master in Petroleum Economics and Management Programme (IFP). In 1999, he moved to the Reservoir Department in HQ Paris as a Senior Reservoir Engineer in charge of Venezuela. In 2001, he was appointed as Planning Manager in Libya, position that he occupied until 2004 when he joined back the HQ for several development engineering positions. In 2008 he was appointed Head of Planning & Development for the Americas & North Africa, a position, he held until 2012 when he moved to the New Ventures team in charge of Latin American transactions. In September 2015, Hernan was appointed Business Development Director in Total Austral. Back to HQ Paris in April 2020, he was appointed Project Director for CCUS projects in Continental Europe. Since January 2023, Hernan is Vice President CCUS in ADNOC Low Carbon and International Growth Division.
Technology and Innovation Manager, PDO
Nabil Al-Bulushi currently serves as the Technology and Innovation Manager in PDO. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Nabil has held roles at various organizations such as Schlumberger Oilfield Services (now SLB), PDO, Shell International, and Saudi Aramco, spanning both technical and managerial positions. Nabil holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Petroleum Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in artificial intelligence, both from Imperial College London. Since 2012, he has also contributed as a Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College London.
Manager of the Carbon Storage Exploration Division, Aramco
Mostafa M Ahmed is a seasoned oil and gas exploration professional with over 22 years of experience in the industry. He currently serves as the Manager of the Carbon Storage Exploration Division at Saudi Aramco, a role he has held since the beginning of 2023. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the carbon storage exploration efforts and managing the portfolio across the Kingdom.
Prior to his current role, Mostafa held another Division Manager position with Saudi Aramco, where he oversaw oil and gas exploration activities along the Red Sea west coast from 2017 to 2023. He also served as a Team Leader and Prospect Generator in the same basin, leveraging his expertise to drive exploration success since joining the company in 2012.
Before joining Saudi Aramco, Mostafa spent over a decade with BP, where he worked as a geoscientist on numerous exploration, appraisal, and development projects. During his tenure with BP, he gained valuable experience working in multiple basins and developed a strong proficiency in integrating geological and geophysical data sets, as well as fostering connections between different disciplines.
Mostafa holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College, London, providing him with a solid foundation in the technical aspects of the industry. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for driving innovation in the field of oil and gas exploration.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Mostafa is a devoted family man, married with three children. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and spending quality time with his loved ones.
