I am honored to welcome you to Brazil's first EAGE/SBGF Conference on the Roadmap to Low Carbon Emissions. As part of the technical committee, I am delighted to invite you to attend this event, which will be held from November 25th to 26th, 2024, in Rio de Janeiro.

The impact of global warming around the globe is undeniable. The industry's main challenge is reducing GHG emissions while securing energy sufficiency. Brazil can potentially play an important role in the world's decarbonization efforts.

Contrasting with the global situation, less than 20% of the country's GHG emissions come from the energy sector, and almost 50% of the country's energy matrix is related to renewable resources.

The event's technical committee, integrated by specialists from academia, energy and services companies, prepared a robust agenda covering a wide range of topics. From the latest technologies to regulatory challenges, the role of renewables, and the carbon market, our event will bring the contribution of different industry sectors.

Last but not least, it will be an amazing opportunity to expand one's network, meet friends, contribute to the growth of the industry, learn and enjoy the wonderful city.
