EAGE Conference & Exhibition 2021 moves to October

Message from Everhard Muyzert, President EAGE

We are announcing today the rescheduling of our 82nd EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition to the new dates of 18-21 October 2021 at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 

We believe that delaying the event until the autumn will provide a greater opportunity for EAGE members and visitors to attend in person as the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic accelerates with the roll-out of vaccination programmes worldwide and return of international travel.

The health and safety of those able to attend will of course be our top priority, and the RAI venue is working closely with the relevant Dutch authorities to ensure all the protocols for larger gatherings are met. We will be issuing regular updates on what the requirements for attendance may involve.

These are unprecedented times, so I am sure everyone can understand why we have moved the date. The industry is rapidly changing and our Annual Meeting provides a much valued opportunity to bring the geoscience community together. We want to enable as many people as possible to participate in our extensive Technical Programme, Exhibition and associated events.

The basic Conference & Exhibition programme as planned for June will remain the same, and any modifications will be notified on all our communication channels. One immediate change is that we are able to extend the submission date for abstracts to be considered for this year’s Annual Technical Programme. The new deadline is 1 May 2021. 

Meantime we look forward to welcoming you to a long overdue meeting in Amsterdam.
