First EAGE Workshop on Borehole Geology in Asia Pacific
30 March - 1 April 2021 | Online
WELCOME!
Borehole Imagers provide high resolution, oriented data that is used to characterise subsurface geology for petroleum, mining and geothermal industries. Understanding the rocks at the borehole is the first step to predicting the geology away from the borehole, and key to making sound financial decisions related to the safe exploration and development of earth resources. Wellbore images provide essential structural, sedimentological and in-situ stress information. R&D into wellbore imaging tools continues and has resulted in recent advances in oil-based mud imaging technology. Further advances in LWD deep reading resistivity tool technology has recently improved their usefulness for navigation-while-drilling for petroleum development wells.
EAGE Workshop on Borehole Geology in Asia Pacific is the first of its type for the Australasian region and builds upon the success of similar EAGE supported workshops in other parts of the world. The Workshop will take place from 30 March - 1 April 2021, Virtually. We welcome attendance and contribution of all Geoscience and Engineering professionals that are involved in the different disciplines of the energy and resource sectors.
The workshop will now take place as a fully virtual event from 30 March - 1 April 2021!
