Dr. Muneer Abdalla
Assistant professor, Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Omar Al-Mukhtar University
Dr. Abdalla is an accomplished sedimentary basin analysis expert specializing in the stratigraphic architectural evolution of carbonate platforms. With a PhD degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA, Dr. Abdalla has contributed significantly to the understanding of the evolution of carbonate platforms within the Sirte rift basin in Libya. His work has been featured in many first and second quartile (Q1 and Q2) journals and international conferences. His subjects of interest include sedimentary basin analysis, sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, and petroleum geology.

With over 30 years of expertise in oil exploration and field development. He specializes in generating prospects and upgrading plays into drill able locations. Proficient in interpreting geological and geophysical data, he excels in integrating petroleum systems and applying multidisciplinary tools to assess hydrocarbon potential. Furthermore, he is a proven leader in geological field development, static modeling, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR), he has successfully supervised many Geo-scientists teams, and contributed to many discoveries in Libya.
Isam holds a Master of Science in Geosciences from Oxford Brookes University, UK (1997) with a honour grade. Equipped with advanced technical skills inLandmark Suite, Petrel, and ArcGIS, he is recognized for his problem-solving capabilities and innovative approach to geological challenges.

I’m a Senior Geological Advisor with over 34 years of experience in the energy sector.Hold an MSc in Sedimentology, University of Glasgow (1999). I have a proven track record ofdelivering impactful results in geological operations, project management, team leadership, and strategic planning. Proven success in optimizing oil production (including work on the low- permeable Harash Formation at SOC) and Contributed significantly to the Arous Albahr discovery well (A1-54/1) as Exploration Manager at HESS Exploration Libya. Served as Chairman of the National Mining Corporation (NMC-Libya) and Senior Advisor at Petrobras. Currently Senior Geological Advisor at NOC – Libya.
Abdullah Ahmed Elhsiek
Senior Advisor to Chairman of Board of Directors, Sirte Oil Company
More than 32 years of experience in the field of oil and gas exploration. Familiar with the geology of all sedimentary basins in Libya. Held several supervisory positions starting from the position of operations geology supervisor, then coordinator of operations geology and reservoir evaluation division, to the position of chief geologist, then the position of exploration department manager and senior advisor to the chairman of board of directors in Sirte Oil Company.
