IOR 2021

19-22 April 2021 | Online Event

Invitation to IOR 2021

On behalf of the EAGE and IOR Scientific Community, may I welcome you to the 21stEuropean Improved Oil Recovery Symposium, to be held from 19th-22nd April 2021. The conference will provide updates and results from the latest research into novel IOR technologies together with assessments of the most recent pilots and field scale deployment of IOR/EOR, showcasing the technical challenges and new technologies deployed. The focus will be on extending the reach of EOR, while recognising climate challenges and the role of EOR in our transition to a low carbon future.

The conference covers presentations and posters on all IOR topics, including chemical flooding (surfactant, polymer and ASP), controlled salinity water, gas injection (miscible, immiscible, hydrocarbon, CO2), WAG, foam, MEOR and polymer gels for flow diversion. Applications cover carbonate, sandstone, and unconventional reservoirs. Also included are several extended keynote presentations from global experts on topical themes.

This conference provides a meeting place for engineers, academics, scientists and students to present recent advances in IOR and brainstorm new ideas to improve IOR in the future, whilst mitigating carbon emissions.  Attendance is recommended to professionals in industry as well as academics and new researchers who are interested in maximising economic oil recovery through IOR/ EOR deployment, while minimising carbon footprint.  The breadth of material covered will give an overview of the current trends and potential of IOR, as well as an improved scientific understanding of techniques deployed.
