Prabhat Agrawal

Prabhat is Senior Advisor with GaffneyCline Singapore with 19 years experience in the full value chain of the oil and gas industry from technical, commercial, and strategic assignments within Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. He provides advice on investment feasibility, field development planning, asset valuation, and energy markets. Prior to his current role, Prabhat led the successful redevelopment of the D18 oil field in Malaysia for Baker Hughes.

Prabhat received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1999. He has two Master's Degrees, one in Chemical Engineering and another in Financial Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of AIPN and SPE.


Dylan Mair

Mr. Mair is executive director of global field support for upstream energy content at IHS Markit. His team is located in over a dozen countries to ensure customer success using upstream databases, editorial, analytics and APIs. They also publish the Upstream Solutions Digest, providing quarterly workflows for exploration, production, and asset valuation strategy. He previously led information sourcing and editorial for IHS Markit in Asia Pacific and launched its regional upstream research and consulting practice. Mr. Mair has also held commercial roles with the launch of IHS Markit asset valuations, upstream product management and data room evaluation. Mr. Mair recently co-chaired a virtual Digital Subsurface conference with Petronas and Woodside for EAGE/AAPG.

Mr. Mair has over 25 years oil and gas experience. He previously led the subsurface consulting practice for Halliburton in Asia Pacific. In this role he managed field development and exploration teams on behalf of oil and gas operators and developed geoscience training programs onboarding hundreds of graduates. He was also embedded in customer asset teams to deliver subsurface studies using new geophysical technologies.



Dr. Abul Fahimuddin

Abul leads and manages Equinor’s AI/ML-enabled enterprise data analytics platform. Currently, he is the product manager for “ideation machine”, a citizen data scientist software, scaled across Equinor subsurface value chain. Abul has professional experiences with major international energy companies including Royal Dutch Shell and most recently with Equinor. Previous leadership positions include experiences within offshore oil and gas fields’ operation technology, geophysical specialist teams and subsurface R&D department.

Before joining energy industry, Abul worked as a software developer within high performance scientific computing in Germany. Abul holds a PhD degree in Computational Mathematics from University of Bergen, Norway and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from BI Norwegian Business School and University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business in the USA, with specialization in digital transformation.



John Burnell

John Burnell is the Energy Research Leader at GNS Science, New Zealand’s leading earth sciences research institute. His research expertise is in computational modelling of heat and mass flows. Most of his recent work has focussed on developing models of geothermal systems throughout the world. He has developed models of systems in New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan and Papua New Guinea. A key focus of his work is to develop models that are realistic representations of the physical system that allow robust assessments of future development options. For the last eight years, John has led two research programmes focussed on developing new methodologies for modelling geothermal systems. He is currently the NZ convener of the IPGT Reservoir Modelling Group.


Ishtar Barranco

Ishtar Barranco graduated with B.Eng in Environmental Geosciences from the University of Toulouse, France and later pursued her MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from French Petroleum Institute, France. She had 20 years of O&G experience in France, Mexico, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand with Total, Pemex, Schlumberger and Chevron. Out of 20 years, 13 years are with Chevron Australia starting with Senior Development Geologist and Geomodeller for Gorgon Co2 project, Jansz, NW Shelf and WA Oil. Currently, Ishtar holds the position as the Digital Advisor coordinating digital initiatives in geology, geophysics, geomechanics and petrophysics. 

She is also experienced as the board member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia, Lead of Chevron Australia's Latin-American Employee Network, Petro-Tech Women's Network and chair of the Inclusion Council.
