Panel Session 1 - The Pace of Energy Transition

Description:

The need for energy is growing globally. The main contributor is still with the conventional mix of coal, oil, condensate and natural gas whereas the world expects to see a growth of the new energy mix consisting of wind, solar, wave, hydrogen, nuclear and geothermal energy. Hot topics are which of the new energy sources will play key roles in the transition to a wider energy mix as well as how to establish a solid basis for future energy predictions when adding these to the conventional energy sources. ‘The Pace of Energy Transition Panel’ will discuss a portrait of the energy transition with emphasis on key computational methods and technological advancements and accelerate the pace of energy transition. The discussion will vividly reveal how technological forces are paving the way for a sustainable future.
