Panel Session 2: Maximising Oil Recovery

Description:

The world's energy sources discussions focuses currently mainly on transition to New Energies. The conventional Oil and Gas contribution to the world's energy mix, though, remains highly relevant for both the energy transition as well as supporting the actual energy mix. Optimum oil and gas recovery is key to maximize value generation in producing reservoirs and reservoirs in planning by focusing on advanced technologies and methodologies and implementation of those. The “Maximizing Oil Recovery” panel session will discuss what advantages the state-of-the-art and upcoming computational sciences and technologies could provide to the Oil and Gas industry to sustain and grow its production & development aiming at maximizing hydrocarbon recovery. Focus will be on:

• Improving reservoir understanding using new technologies; both reservoir framework and production over time such as identifying bypassed oil and/or previously non-economic areas in existing reservoirs and understanding of reservoir fluids mobility over production time and;
• Improving the efficiency in live planning and risk management by turning data analytics into values.
