Meet the Instructors

Claudio Strobbia

Claudio Strobbia is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Research Scientist at Realtimeseismic (RTS). He is an entrepreneur and geoscientist with more than 30 years of experience in geophysics across the energy sector. Claudio holds a Ph.D. and has developed a career that spans research, operations, seismic technology innovation, and scientific leadership.

Before founding RTS, Claudio served as the Global Land Processing Specialist at TotalEnergies in Pau, France. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Research Geophysicist with Schlumberger (SLB), with assignments in Cairo and London. Claudio also held research roles at EUCENTRE in Pavia (Italy) and lectured in exploration seismology at the University of Milano-Bicocca.

His scientific interests cover exploration seismology, applied geophysics, and earthquake seismology. As a solutions-oriented data geoscientist, Claudio is particularly drawn to challenging exploration datasets and land seismic problems.

Enrico Ceragioli

With more than 30 years of experience in companies of different sizes and cultures, and more recently as an independent Consultant, Enrico Ceragioli is a well-established geoscientist and manager.

As geophysical manager of O&G Majors, he has been exposed to seismic operations all over the globe, encompassing complex environments as thrust belt mountains, dense urban areas, desert terrains, transition zones, shallow to ultra-deep waters with any type of obstructions.

In recent years, Enrico has been deeply involved in modern and targeted operations aimed at the development of renewable energies, mainly for deep geothermal targets. Passionate about knowledge management and training, Enrico consistently leads contemporary and tailored training programs for geophysical projects management, both for O&G Majors and smaller independent Entities.

Amine Ourabah

Amine Ourabah is a geophysicist with more than 22 years of experience in seismic exploration across R&D, contractor, operator, and startup environments. After completing an engineering degree and a Research MSc in geophysics, Amine began his career as a seismic processor at VeritasDGC and then joined BP’s R&D team in the UK, where he supported land assets worldwide and led numerous high trace density seismic projects with a particular focus on simultaneous source acquisition.

Amine has published several studies demonstrating the benefits of high-density seismic acquisition beyond conventional imaging, helping shift industry thinking away from fold toward trace density. He was also a key contributor to the invention and development of a new generation of nodal technology, the Nimble Node, a disruptive technology that led to the creation of STRYDE in 2019 and transformed land seismic acquisition worldwide.

Amine is currently Chief Geophysicist at STRYDE, where he drives next generation seismic solutions for both hydrocarbon exploration and renewable energy applications.

David Dupuy

David Dupuy is an accomplished geophysicist and director with over 20 years of international experience in near-surface and exploration geophysics. Originally from Southwestern France, David completed his Master’s degree in Geophysics at the University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse before moving to Switzerland to pursue advanced research. He holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Lausanne (IGL), where he also served as a scientist and teaching assistant, fostering a career-long commitment to geophysical education.

David’s professional career is defined by his dual expertise in technical operations and corporate leadership. Since 2013, he has served as the Director of Geo2X SA (Switzerland), a firm renowned for providing a comprehensive range of multi-method geophysical solutions. In parallel, he leads GTG International (SA in Switzerland and SASU in France) as Director and President. Under his guidance, the two structures maintain a specialized synergy: while Geo2X offers a full spectrum of geophysical methods, GTG International serves as the dedicated vehicle for large-scale seismic reflection projects.

Florian Duret

Florian hold a PhD in geophysics. Florian started working in 2012, initially at CGG (now Viridien) within the onshore R&D group, on the Seismovie project, where he worked on PRM and surface wave-related challenges before moving into reservoir development. Florian then transitioned to the medical industry, where he continued data analysis, this time focusing on developing AI solutions. He returned to geophysics at the end of 2023, first at SpotLight, working on CO₂ storage monitoring challenges, and have been with FEBUS since early 2025, where he lead the geophysics team.
