The floor in the Hall is made of asphalt (with the exception of concrete underneath the balcony). Exhibitors can put their carpet on top of this. The colour of the aisle carpet will be Royal Blue.
The exhibition hall floor may be covered with panels, carpets, linoleum, raised platforms etc. Floor painting is prohibited. All floor coverings must be secured and maintained so that they do not cause a hazard. Fixing of floor coverings to the hall floor may only be carried out using approved tape. Other forms of fixing to the hall floor, such as cable clips, nails and bolts are strictly prohibited. When you are building a raised floor please note that a disabled ramp/access is compulsory.
Special rules for raised floors apply.
Carpet and floor coverings can be ordered through Gielissen's webshop. Gielissen will email login details to the exhibitors, you can always contact them at eage@gielissen.nl.
Carpet is included with all Booth Package stands, the colour can be selected through the webshop of Gielissen.
The use of wooden platforms is recommended for stands with water and gas pipes and/or a lot of electrical wiring. Stands with raised floors should be made accessible to disabled visitors by employing sloping stand edges or by adding ramps (of sufficient width and without sharp-angled sides). This should be made recognizable to visitors.
A permit is required for stages and platforms of 60cm or higher. Please refer to the official RAI documents for more information:
Exhibitors who use such platforms should bear in mind that:
Electricity in the exhibition halls is coming from ducts in the floor. It is prohibited to carry out any electrical work at the venue. Stands can be connected to the building's electricity mains by the electricians officially appointed by the organisers: Gielissen.
It is the owner or user’s responsibility to ensure that portable appliances are safe to be plugged into the electrical system.
The maximum construction height is 8 meters. Drawing approval for any Space Only stand and Booth Package stands exceeding 2.50 meters in height is mandatory.
Rigging is possible in the exhibition hall above all stands. For detailed information about rigging possibilities above your stand and to order hanging points visit the webshop of Gielissen.
Please note that rigging objects can only be hung above the exhibitor’s space and not over aisle ways.
