Be Part of the First EAGE Workshop on Geothermal Energy and Hydro Power in Africa

The virtual workshop will focus on technical subjects relevant to Renewable Energy in Africa and globally, focusing on Geothermal and Hydro Power. The final technical program will be based on the themes of submitted abstracts, however we aim to include contributions related to the following topics linked to geothermal and hydro power:

1. Applied Geoscience in Geothermal exploration and development - to include geology, geophysics, geochemistry reservoir engineering, and field development, power plant development and operation.

• Caldera geothermal systems and case studies.
• Utilization of borehole well data to map sub-surface structures in geothermal fields.
• Conceptualizing geothermal fields before and after exploration drilling (Exploration).
• Geoscientific data quagmire - when Geological Geochemistry and Geophysical field data won’t synchronize (Exploration).
• Geothermal Resource - Direct Applications to Industries, Technologies and Successful Case studies.

2. Applied Geoscience in Hydropower Resource assessment and development - to include geology, Hydrology geophysics, geochemistry, reservoir engineering, power plant development and operation.
