MEET THE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS


Eliane Petersohn

ANP 

Eliane Petersohn has an undergraduate degree in Geology (BS) From the Federal University of Parana and a master’s degree in exploration geology from the same university. In 2020, she got a postgraduate study in regulatory law at the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC). Ms. Petersohn joined the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) in 2006 as a geologist. In 2010 she was appointed Chief Geologist, becoming responsible for the selection and geological evaluation of the areas for oil and gas bidding rounds in Brazil. In 2019 she became an upstream advisor to the board of directors, being responsible for providing guidance and technical insight to support the BOD decisions on public policies and regulations. Ms. Petersohn has spent the past 15 years working on the ANP’s large-scale strategic projects, conducting a geological evaluation for bidding rounds and developing a multiyear geological and geophysical plan for the agency. She was responsible for coordinating the first phase of the onerous assignment process, which authorized the Brazilian Federal Government to onerously assign to NOC Petrobras up to 5 billion barrels. Ms. Petersohn was also directly involved in the location of two wells, which discovered two of the country's largest oil fields (Buzios and Mero fields). Currently, Ms. Petersohn is a Fulbright scholar and a Ph.D. student at Stanford University. 


Ana Serrano Oñate  

Equinor

Mrs. Serrano is a Spanish citizen with more than 30 years of industry experience.  She began her career in Madrid as a geoscientist working for Repsol in Europe, North Africa and Middle East and later in Brazil, where she led the Santos Basin evaluation team and participated in several important discoveries among them opening up the prolific pre-salt play.  In 2008 Serrano joined Statoil, first in the Brazilian Exploration team and then heading up Equinor’s West Africa access project. After that, she worked in Stavanger having several management positions including Vice President New Ventures Exploration Africa and Latin America during a period where Equinor entered in several Latin American and African countries. She has been instrumental in developing Equinor’s understanding of the subsurface value and commercial awareness across of the South Atlantic. From 2014 to 2018, she has been focused on profitable growth as Vice president of Exploration Brazil participating in several world class projects (exploration access, drilling, discoveries, operatorship, acquisition, award) as Pao and Carcara fields as operator and other pre-salt opportunities. From 2019 she started heading up the subsurface activity in Equinor Brazil related to the development projects Peregrino II, Carcara and BM-C-33 and the production Projects Peregrino Main and Roncador as Senior Vice President of Petroleum Technology in Equinor Brazil where was leading all subsurface activities across the value chain from EXP to abandonment. Today she is Vice President Subsurface Brazil in Equinor Exploration & Production International and a member of Equinor Brazil Management Committee.  Ana uses her global expertise, passion, and external orientation to inspire a team to unlock Brazil O&G potential up to IOR and develop local organization, always searching for the next big thing through access, explore, discover and deliver barrels by shaping the portfolio towards higher value lower carbon.  Ana is married, has three daughters, and resides in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.




Bruno Moczydlower

Petrobras 

Bruno Moczydlower is a Civil Engineer, post-graduated in Petroleum Engineering and with a Msc in Water Resources & Environment. He has over 17 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with Petrobras, where he held positions in Subsurface and Project Management departments. Currently, he is a General Manager responsible for the Santos Basin Deepwater Assets, including the famous Pre-Salt cluster.

Bruno was the chairman of the first Youth Committee of the World Petroleum Council in 2008 and he founded the Youth Committee at the Brazilian Petroleum Institute in the same year. At SPE, he has served as an officer of the Brazil Section from 2011 to 2020, including 3 years as the chairman.




Alberto Ferrin

ExxonMobil 

Alberto Ferrin is the Lead Country Manager and General Manager for ExxonMobil in Brazil.

With more than 15 years of upstream oil and gas experience with ExxonMobil, he played leading position roles in key projects in West Africa, Australia, United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Alberto is responsible for leading the sustainable growth of ExxonMobil in Brazil, with oversight over Exploration and Production activities in Rio de Janeiro, Product Solutions (former Chemical) in São Paulo, and a Global Business Center, in Curitiba, totaling over 2,000 employees.

Alberto holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Vigo, in Spain. Alberto is Spanish, from Galicia, and has lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with his family since 2021.
