Sourcing Our Future: Forging Pathways to Decarbonisation
31 May 2022 | 0930 - 1030 hrs (UTC +8)
The energy industry is on the path to possessing the advanced scientific, technical, and industrial know-how for decarbonization solutions. Geoscience has long been understood as part of the solution to decarbonization and quantitative aspects of this essential discipline involve estimating the capacity of carbon storage in the subsurface, injectivity, and containment ability. Quantitative Geoscience is paving the path to decarbonization and has a very important role to play in global carbon management. The panel members will discuss the technological challenges, development, and possibilities with the current status of quantitative geosciences while opening a discussion about people and the synergy of digital technologies.
