Mark Hamilton

Keynote: "Complex geology, challenging imaging, why persevere?"

Following his Ph.D. in 2008, Mark spent a number of years processing and interpreting marine electromagnetic data, as well as gravity, magnetics and FTG data. Since joining PGS in 2013, Mark has worked in a number of roles, and on an array of seismic and integrated interpretation projects located globally. His current focus is on North Africa and the Mediterranean.


Diogenes Angelidis

Keynote:  "Cyprus’ Gas Resources: Moving onwards from Exploration”

Diogenes Angelidis is currently the Director General of Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company and during his keynote presentation, he will make us dive into the Exploration success story in Cyprus.


Behzad Alaei 

Keynote: "Al-driven Geoscience: A paradigm shift promising increased efficiency, reduced costs, and acceleration of the energy transition"

Behzad Alaei is co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Earth Science Analytics. He has 30 years' experience from the E&P industry and research. He holds a PhD in exploration geophysics from the University of Bergen, Norway and is focused on data science to optimise key business processes in geoscience.



Konstantinos Makrygiannis

Keynote: "The role of carbon capture and storage in Norway - Industry experience”

Konstantinos (Costas) Makrygiannis has over thirty five (35) years of working experience in the oil & gas industry, in both a Projects, Technology Development and Operations environment. He graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Masters Degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering. Through his carrier, Costas has had leadership positions both onshore and offshore, as Engineering Manager, Commissioning & Start-up Manager and Offshore Installation Manager, for both Statoil (now Equinor) and BP. He has been Project Manager for the Norwegian Deepwater Program on risers and moorings, being across JV initiative, to develop and mature technology applicable for deepwater developments off Norway. Since 2003, he has been involved in the development of the ISO arctic standard (ISO 19906), as Technical Panel Leader for the part of the standard associated with the design of Floating Production Systems. He has published several papers addressing various aspects of Design and Operation of Floaters in Ice. Costas joined KUFPEC in December 2013, and he is currently the Field Development & Operations Manager in KUFPEC Norway, having overall responsibility for KUFPEC’s Norwegian portfolio, safeguarding HSE, Technical Integrity and Production.
