We are delighted to invite you to the 4^th EAGE Eastern Mediterranean Workshop, scheduled for December 4^th to 6^th, 2023 in the beautiful city of Athens, Greece. The workshop aims to bring together distinguished and emerging researchers from various disciplines. By fostering research presentations and integrating scientific discussions during the technical sessions, the field trip and the social activities, we aim to create a vibrant platform to exchange ideas and encourage future collaborations. The conference theme “Unlocking New Energy Resources” has been carefully chosen to mark the reignited exploration interest and importance of the East Mediterranean region.

The EAGE association and the Technical Committee endeavours to facilitate dialogue between experts, to inspire new ideas and creative thinking that will help to unlock the potential of the petroleum systems in the region. We also hope to inspire young passionate individuals, who will ensure our sector remains at the cutting edge of scientific advancements and technological innovations. We invite researchers to present their work in the wide field of regional geology, hydrocarbon exploration and production, through presentation of case studies and related analogues. We especially welcome contributions which evaluate and re-purpose the subsurface for alternative low-carbon uses, such as carbon storage, hydrogen production and storage, geothermal and wind power, aligning with the energy transition objectives.

With a blend of productive sessions and enjoyable activities, we are confident that the 4^th EAGE Eastern Mediterranean Workshop will be a rewarding and unforgettable experience!
