Mohammed A. Al Duhailan, PhD

Chief Geologist in Exploration, Saudi Aramco


Mohammed is Chief Geologist in Exploration, Saudi Aramco. He has been with Saudi Aramco since 2001 with experience that covers conventional and unconventional exploration and appraisal. He has a BSc in Geophysics from the University of Tulsa, MSc in Geophysics from the University of Calgary, and holds a PhD in Petroleum Geology from Colorado School of Mines.
Mohammed has held different leadership positions in Upstream Saudi Aramco that included Conventional and Unconventional. Mohammed is a former President of the Dhahran Geoscience Society (2018-2019). He is an AAPG Visiting Geoscientist and a DGS-Distinguished Lecturer with more than 16 published papers and Conferences proceedings. He is a recipient of the AAPG EMD’s President’s Award for Excellence in Presentation, honor society for International Scholars, and a participant as a judge in the AAPG IBA program.

 






Mr. Talal Al-awani   

Geologist- Kuwait Oil Company

Talal Al-Adwani is an eminent Geologist and is currently leading the hydrocarbon exploration in deep-seated reservoirs in Jurassic, Triassic and Paleozoic in the State of Kuwait. He is AAPG Middle East Council member and has presented his works in many international forumsHe is key member of Kuwait Oil Company and is instrumental in hydrocarbon exploration in the state of Kuwait for more than 20 years. Mr. Talal led several significant discoveries in conventional as well as unconventional reservoirs. He is a key member of KOC assigned in developing strategic exploration Portfolio for the state of Kuwait.


Professor Philippe Razin  

Professor-Bordeaux University

Philippe Razin holds a Ph.D. in sedimentology in 1989 from the Bordeaux University. He has been working during 8 years in the French Geological Survey before going back to the Bordeaux University in 1998 as a full-time professor. Its main research activities concern the architecture and dynamic of wide carbonate and siliciclastic platforms, and relationships between tectonics, diapirism and sedimentation. These research projects are mainly developed in the Middle-East, in Morocco and in the Pyrenees where he uses to organize various field-trips for oil companies and other institutions.
