Curtin Reservoir Geophysics Consortium (CRGC)

The Curtin Reservoir Geophysics Consortium (CRGC) is a partnership between industry and academia. CRGC is undertaking research into acquisition, processing and quantitative interpretation of geophysical data with an emphasis on Australian petroleum exploration and production problems. The CRGC’s mission is to conduct geophysical research and develop new technologies for the benefit of the petroleum industry and to train students in geophysical methods and research relevant to the needs of our sponsors. The research is structured around the concept of improved seismic imaging of reservoirs, methods of signal analysis which will enhance the data processing of existing data, the potential offered using multi-component processing to understand the effects of anisotropy, and obtaining a comprehensive knowledge of the effects variations in rock physics have on transmitted and reflected seismic energy.

Terra15

Terra15 is a technology company based in Perth, Western Australia, with a variety of  happy customers and significant traction in the local resources sector. We have grown in only three years to a team of passionate experts with a diversity of skillsets and  extensive backgrounds.  Our aim at Terra15 is to be world leaders in the emerging generation of intelligent sensors which tap into the ubiquitous optical fiber networks of the modern data-driven world.Connect to any standard fiber optic cable and use that cable as thousands of vibration sensors, with every meter of the cable functioning as both an acoustic pickup and a vibration/seismic sensor.Terra15’s latest system is called the Treble™ because it offers high quality vibration sensing at audible frequencies, providing you with the best quality data you need to get the most value from your sensing or monitoring solution. The Treble delivers quality data well into the low frequency vibration range, also enabling truly impressive sensitivity and uniformity for seismic acquisition and other demanding applications. All this is achieved with our propriety design, unique to the market, which is set to redefine customer expectations in a future where the number of sensors that can be deployed and easily maintained was previously unimaginable. The Terra15 Treble system is a next-generation distributed fiber optic technology delivering true acoustic and true vibration sensing.
