ConocoPhillips
She has been with ConocoPhillips Alaska in Anchorage for over 11 years, specializing in all things related to Exploration Operations. Her work has mainly revolved around seismic acquisition and exploration drilling programs. She also has a special interest in remote sensing, permafrost characterization, and near-surface geophysics. One of my key focuses in all my projects is Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Shes passionate about ensuring our field operations are safe and efficient and fostering strong regulatory relationships. Implementing safety protocols, environmental compliance and fostering a strong culture of teamwork within our crews is somethin she took great pride in. Prior to her tenure in Alaska, she worked for ExxonMobil Canada and Imperial Oil. She has a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Geophysics from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Michael earned his B.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Alberta in 1997. He began his career at CGG where he specialized in land signal processing and imaging, eventually advancing to a technical supervisor role. In 2005 Michael joined Veritas, where he expanded his skills to include land QI/AVO and 4D projects. Since 2012 he has been with Shell, leveraging his signal processing expertise for CCUS projects and OBN workflow optimization in addition to leading state-of-the-art, low frequency model-building and least-squares imaging projects in theGOM.

Dr. Alexandros Savvaidis is the Manager and Seismology Research Team Lead of the Texas Seismological Networkand Seismology Research (TexNet). He has extensive 30-years’ experience in Applied Geophysics and EngineeringSeismology both through his research position as a Research Professor and collaboration with Industrial partners inmultidisciplinary external funded projects. Dr. Savvaidis research on Seismology includes the study of sourcecharacteristics, the wave path and site characterization in case of an earthquake event, the real time acquisition ofground motion data, for earthquakes of tectonic or volcanic activity, Shakemaps implementation and data fusion fordisaster risk mitigation. Additionally, in Applied Geophysics his attention is directed towards acquiring, processing, and modeling geophysical data using passive and active seismic and electromagmetic techniques in urban and freefield areas to reveal 1D, 2D and 3D earth models and to improve the knowledge in exploration, mining and three-dimensional basin structure using geophysical methods. Also, he is an expert of surface wave data inversion forcrustal modeling. Since 2016 he is working on observational seismology and causal assessment of inducedseismicity.
