Field Demonstrations

Near Surface Geoscience 2019 gives exhibiting companies and institutes the opportunity to demonstrate their products and services to a focused audience through the field demonstration programme. The field demonstrations will be held on Tuesday 10 September from 15.20 – 17.00hrs, in front of the main entrance to the venue. No other event activities will take place concurrently.

All registered delegates of Near Surface Geoscience 2019 are invited to the field demonstrations, where drinks will be provided. If you wish to participate in the field demonstration programme, please return a completed field demonstration contract to exhibition@eage.org

Field Demonstrations Held:

DMT

Light, flexible and fast: Seismic Data acquisition with SUMMIT X ONE recorders.

Ultra small one-channel remote units linking to a lightweight SUMMIT line cable at any position via the optimized SUMMIT SNAP-ON technology result in the world's most flexible wired seismic acquisition system. Reliable and fast data transfer offers immediate and full quality control of acquired seismic data. The option of continuous data streaming also enables passive seismic applications such as monitoring of reservoir stimulation measures.

The SUMMIT X One combines the flexibility in field deployment of a wireless system with all the benefits of reliable online data access from a cabled system.

Geo-device

ARMT-5 & FastSnap electromagnetic sounding systems. Our demonstration is intended to highlight ARMT-5 complex that is designed for implementation of a big variety of geoelectrical methods: (CS-)AMT, CSEM, (CS-)RMT. Its broad frequency range (0.1 Hz - 1 MHz) enables applying this tool for studying depths from first meters to several kilometers thus covering wide application niche. Another EM tool to be demonstrated, FastSnap is a multichannel automatically-controlled telemetry complex that ensures TEM/ TDEM, frequency sounding, induced polarization and direct current techniques. The system is by far the most advanced in its class offering high technical specifications and comprehensive software package along with an affordable cost.

Sensors & Software Europe GmbH

Sensors & Software will demonstrate the latest Noggin and pulseEKKO Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems.  Noggins are the most versatile GPR systems in the market; it has several frequencies and configurations (cart, tow or chariot), and is easily integrated into customized multi-channel systems. Our newest innovation, the pulseEKKO Ultra Receiver, can achieve up to double the depth of penetration of earlier pulseEKKO systems.  This opens incredible opportunities for research and advancements in low-frequency GPR applications.  Join us and see the powerful in-field data viewing capabilities of both GPR systems.

Solgeo

Solgeo Cross-Hole set allows the direct measurements of horizontally travelling compression (P) and shear (Sv) seismic waves at test sites (i.e soil materials, concrete dams, embankments, etc) in order to get their Elastic modules and characteristics. Two specific borehole seismic sources have been developed to get the best seismic signals.

Especially SOLGEO GEOS-H™ is the best tool to generate vertical polarized S waves. The energy source is composed by two parts: a central section for the pneumatic clamping and second part that contains the electrodynamics waves generator.
The device allows to automatically produce, both upwards and downwards signals, in order to obtain an inversion of the shear waves polarization without P waves noise.

And thanks to the inclinometer probe (inclis DH) it allows to obtain the inclination and the azimuth of the boreholes in the most practical and fastest way.

ZZ Resistivity Imaging Pty Ltd, Australia

ZZ Resistivity Imaging, an Australian-based resistivity/IP/seismic instrument manufacturer and software developer will be demonstrating their latest iteration of the FlashRES-UNIVERSAL 64 system. Come learn about our full-channel system and see how easy it is to run every array in the one survey with the push of a button. Our patented full-channel system is able to collect potentials from all electrodes for each AB pair, instead of traditional 8, 10, or 12 channel systems. We will be discussing our ZZ array, which is a comprehensive array that takes advantage of a full channel system. Fast data collection, intuitive design, and industry-leading price – we welcome all interested parties to come and enjoy our field demonstration. Explanations by our geophysicists will be given in English or Chinese. Any questions can be asked in person, or directed to sales@zzgeo.com.
