PT Pertamina Algeria Exploration Production (PAEP) is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Internasional Eksplorasi dan Produksi (PIEP) which was established to manage the assets located in Algeria. The results obtained from activities in Algeria are then brought to Indonesia to strengthen the national energy security. PAEP was established with the purpose of managing exploration and production of oil and gas in Africa, specifically Algeria, under a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) agreement. PAEP’s operational activities in Algeria include holding the operatorship rights at the Menzel Ledjmet North (MLN) field and Participating Interest (PI) rights at the El Merk (EMK) and Ourhoud (OHD) fields as unitization fields.
