Bringing over 15 years’ experience in the energy sector, David leads TGS’ global multi-client strategies and initiatives. David joined TGS in 2017 as Director of Business Development in Western Hemisphere. David served as EVP Western Hemisphere since 2021 and has held other regional VP roles managing the Latin America business and Africa, Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia Pacific business prior to becoming EVP Multi-client. Currently, David serves as a board member for the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA). Prior to joining TGS, he spent nearly nine years with PGS based in Houston, working in both the Onshore and Marine groups. David received his M.B.A. (with distinction) from Robert Gordon University in 2011 and his B.S. degree in microbiology from The University of Texas in 2005. David is a US citizen and currently resides in Houston, Texas.
Viridien
Joe has over 20 years of industry experience and more than 20 technical publications focused on depth imaging and broadband processing. He began his career as a geophysicist with Veritas DGC in 2001 before relocating to Singapore in 2007 as processing supervisor, later advancing to processing manager in 2013. In 2017, he moved to Perth to take the role of Australia Imaging Manager and APAC Regional Technology Manager for CGG. In 2019, Joe returned to Houston to join the CGG’s multi-client new ventures team. Currently, he is SVP for EDA Americas, leading Viridien’s multi-client business across the Americas.
S&P Global
Is vice president and chief strategist for the Upstream Energy Group at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Bob has 45 years’ experience working for majors, independents, and consultancies, with more than half of that in executive leadership roles. He is a proven oil finder and was part of several teams which made major oil and gas discoveries in Latin America , North America, and North Africa. He focuses on advising companies, boards and leadership teams on areas that lead to high impact value creation – portfolio’s, IPO’s, restructuring, M&A and exploration.
He is globally recognized expert on Upstream and won the AAPG Presidents award for his Thought Leadership. A frequent keynote speaker for both public and private events, he is also a well-known moderator and media source. Bob gives back to the industry via mentoring women leaders, and he also sits on four industry boards: ARPEL, AAPG-CAB, AAPG-Trustee Associates, and IPAA. He is the chair of the supply and demand committee at the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA). He holds an AB in Geology from Hamilton College and resides in Houston, Texas.
Staatsolie Hydrocarbon Institute
Mitch is the Team Lead of Geoscience PSC Operations at Staatsolie Hydrocarbon Institute. With 12 years of experience in Suriname's oil sector, Mitch has held various geoscience roles within Staatsolie, from Exploration Geologist to senior technical positions before moving to the institute. He specializes in geological and geophysical analysis, data interpretation, and petroleum operations management. Mitch holds a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Applied Geophysics.
ExxonMobil
Amber Massingill, currently Guyana Regional Development Manager, has over 20 years of experience with ExxonMobil in the global upstream oil and gas industry; her current focus is to mature a commercialization recommendation for the Guyana Stabroek non-associated gas resources. Over her career, Amber has held various business and technical leadership roles in ExxonMobil’s upstream business, both domestically and internationally. One of the highlights of her career was living and working in Kazakhstan for 6 years, which included being seconded to the North Caspian Operating Company for the start-up of Kashagan. Amber has a passion for investing in the development of others, both professionally and personally. She earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
ExxonMobil
Dr. deMartin is a Geoscience Manager at ExxonMobil, where he leads a team of exploration geoscientists dedicated to prospect maturation, well planning and execution across ExxonMobil’s Operated Blocks in Guyana. He collaborates with co-venturers to steer long-term asset planning to meet contractual milestones for the ExxonMobil Operated Blocks.
Dr. deMartin joined ExxonMobil in 2008, following an academic career focused on investigating the rheology of the oceanic lithosphere and fault zones. Throughout his career at ExxonMobil, he has held a variety of technical and managerial roles. Previous roles include Technical Team Lead for the Induced Seismicity Team and head of the global Geophysical Operations Team. On the Induced Seismicity Team, he led an integrated team focused on monitoring, understanding, and developing tools to mitigate the risks associated with induced seismicity. He co-authored several peer-reviewed papers and presented findings at numerous scientific conferences and to government regulators, showcasing his commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and ensuring regulatory compliance. His leadership of the Geophysical Operations Team was marked by a steadfast commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and technical excellence. Under his guidance, ExxonMobil executed the largest proprietary deepwater Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) survey in the company’s history, a milestone achievement for both ExxonMobil and the country of Guyana.

Tim Chapman has led numerous successful exploration campaigns over 25 years of diverse experience in value-driven exploration, integrating a strong background in geoscience with comprehensive business and leadership skills. He’s led multiple teams through complex projects and collaborated closely with co-venture partners to achieve positive business outcomes. His expertise spans a wide range of activities from wildcat exploration to development. His current role is the Appraisal Director for Hess leading efforts to monetize discovered resources in Guyana on the prolific Stabroek block.
