Second EAGE Workshop on Advanced Seismic Solutions in the Gulf of Mexico

EAGE is proud to announce its second version Workshop “Advanced Seismic Solutions in the Gulf of Mexico”, to be held in Mexico City, Mexico, from 7 – 8 September 2022. Here, the “GOM” is a remarkable region to study Oil & Gas activity throughout the northern Gulf, archives extensive seismic data, geologic interpretations, block leasing information and so on. Although the primary focus of the workshop shall be on the Gulf of Mexico, strong links will be maintained with the adjacent areas of interest to explorers.

With GOM being a mature continental-shelf basin, where deep- water exploration activities naturally followed a flat-lining “Creaming Curve” of the adjacent continental platform. The workshop will provide an excellent opportunity for geoscientists, asset teams, and decision-makers from the region and around the world to learn and exchange knowledge about 1) Seismic acquisition: technology, seismic design and operation, 2) Seismic data processing & Imaging, and 3) the role of seismic interpretation and shallow structure.

With a large exploration effort anticipated in the coming years, there can be no better place than Mexico City to exchange ideas and knowledge to improve our ability to image and explore the Gulf of Mexico. For workshop participants, the buzzing atmosphere and bohemian city lifestyle make Mexico City an especially appealing environment in which to meet and network.
