Third EAGE Workshop on Geothermal Energy

12-14 November 2025 – Guanacaste , Costa Rica

Third EAGE Workshop on Geothermal Energy

On the way to develop green economies, geothermal energy represents a real and possible alternative. Latin America has a high geothermal energy potential, a solid and stable renewable energy source not affected by climatic parameters and average plant capacity factor above 80%

Geothermal energy is sustainable and resilient, but since this resource is in a geological environment, respect to other green energies its use is more complex. Due to the above and looking to reduce the risks characteristic of this resource, is very important to forming a comprehensive understanding of the nature of geothermal reservoirs, where for this purpose the spaces for exchanging experiences represent a great opportunity.

The objective of the third EAGE geothermal workshop is, through the exchange of experiences, to generate a space for analysis and discussion on aspects associated with lessons learned, good practices, trends, promotion strategies and regulatory standards, the above focused on the commercial use of geothermal resources, both for electricity generation and their direct uses

This workshop is addressed to energy policymakers, power generation system expansion planners, energy sector regulators, generation companies exploiting geothermal resources, companies interested in harnessing geothermal resources for power generation or direct industrial applications, entrepreneurs and small businesses interested in harnessing geothermal resources for tourism, agribusiness, and other uses; experts in geothermal energy and interested in deepening their knowledge in the field of geothermal energy.
