Guidelines
All interested to participate in the IOR+ 2025 programme, should first submit an abstract which will be reviewed and included in the selection procedure. If the submission is selected and accepted into the IOR+ 2025 programme, the author will be requested to submit a full paper.
Please note that all submitted abstracts must follow the general guidelines below:
• Abstracts must be in English and between 300-400 words long. Shorter abstracts are more likely to be rejected!
• The abstract should summarise the results and major conclusions to be presented, making clear their relevance to improving oil recovery and other resource utilisation: authors should also state what distinguishes their contribution from previous work on the same subject.
• Separately from the abstract, the significance of the proposed paper should be justified by listing up to three technical contributions that it will make to the knowledge base of the innovative and optimised resource utilisation.
• Authors may submit more than one abstract for consideration. However, the Scientific Committee aims for one presentation per delegate at the conference. Although not binding on the Committee, authors making multiple submissions as principal author (and proposed speaker) should therefore rank these in terms of their personal preference.
• Abstracts from post-graduate research students are welcome.
Submission process
• Abstracts should be submitted through the Abstract Submission portal. Submissions made via email will not be processed.
• During this first selection round, no documents can be uploaded. You abstract (300-400 words) will have to be included in the box "Abstract".
• Submitters will be notified of the selection results in November 2024, with further information on registration and the full paper requirements.
• Should your abstract be accepted, a full paper is requested by 20 February 2025, 23:59 CET
Anti-Plagiarism Statement
EAGE invites the presentation of new and original material in a range of multi-disciplinary topics in Geoscience and Engineering. The EAGE takes plagiarism very seriously. Therefore, if an extended abstract or paper, after careful review, examination and consideration, is rejected on the basis of plagiarism, ALL authors of the abstract/paper will be denied the opportunity for further abstract submissions for the following three years. Note that this means that NO abstracts/papers from ANY of the authors (as author or co-author on subsequent papers) will be accepted for ANY EAGE event (Annual Meeting, Conference or Workshop) for a period of three years starting on the date of the event for which the paper was originally submitted.
